Frank Johnson, 21, of Coatesville, and Zahir Scott, 18, of Wilmington, Delaware, have been arrested in connection with the shooting in the 700 block of East Market Street in West Goshen Township at 2:03 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, according to the DA's release.

Both men have been charged with Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon, and other related charges. Scott has also been charged with Robbery, the DA explained.

Officers with the West Goshen Police Department were called to "subjects physically fighting and shooting at each other in the parking lot of a Wawa store and TD Bank," after numerous 911 calls, as stated in the release.

When officers arrived witnesses provided descriptions of the "subjects" and explained that two of the men had handguns.

Video surveillance later confirmed the physical fight in the parking lot seemingly over a black trash bag, "which was later determined to contain marijuana," the police said. The men involved "shot at each other and then fled the scene."

Johnson was pulled over by WGPD officers and arrested with a handgun lying on the floorboard of his car. Scott was later located at the Chester County Hospital with a gunshot to the foot. The gun was found in the grass behind a gas station.

The preliminary arraignments were held before Magisterial District Judge Gregory Hines, bail was set at $1,000,000 each, and the men were remanded to the Chester County Prison on Sunday, Oct. 20.

The WGPD was assisted by the Chester County Detectives, the Westtown East Goshen Police Department, the West Chester Police Department, and the Pennsylvania State Police. West Goshen Police Department continues to investigate.
